What do we do?

Just1Bag2020 has grown from picking up litter on a beach in Cohasset to so much more! We now have THREE distinct programs that sit under our charity umbrella. All are promoting environmental action, creating a ripple effect, and normalizing sustainability.

Find out more about these three programs below and get involved!

Just1Bag2020

Where it all began! You all blew our minds when our little family project went from 1 bag to over 24,000 bags in the space of 12 months.

Now, over three years into this crazy journey, more than 4,500 people have collected over 50,000 bags of litter using the #just1bag2020

We might have stopped counting but we haven't stopped doing! We still promote litter picking, and taking a bag wherever you go (see our Instagram page for our updates) and would love you to do so too! Just take a picture and tag us and be part of some huge!

New for 2020: #23in2023.

We're looking for 23 schools from around the world to organise a #just1bag2020 litter pick. For more details click here

South Shore Eco Fest

After the huge success of our inaugural South Shore Eco Fest in 2022, we are back and bigger than ever before.

45+ local sustainable businesses and organizations will head to Cohasset Common on Saturday 20th May from 2pm-7pm to show that eco friendly living can be fun, simple, and convenient!

All proceeds from South Shore Eco Fest go towards the Just1Action South Shore Youth Grants, providing the next generation with the support and funding to create their own sustainability ripple effect right here on the South Shore.

Applications for a vendor space are now closed for 2023.

Feel free to email us with any questions.

143 Exchange

143 Exchange joined the Just1Bag2020 group in the Summer of 2022 and has gone from strength to strength since then.

As a unique program the 143 Exchange's mission is to promote sustainable fashion in the South Shore MA communities, through cooperative clothing and footwear exchanges. Check out more details here and head down to one of their amazing events coming to an area near you soon!
